Statewide Literary Contest

The Kansas Authors Club will begin accepting entries for its 2004 literary contest April 1.

Entries must be postmarked by June 19. Writers of every age and genre are invited to submit their best prose and poetry, as well as entries for a special theme contest, "What's Write with Kansas."

Guidelines for youth and adult contest categories are available at the Web site skyways.org or by contacting Tracy Simmons, 1018 SE 41st Terrace, Topeka, KS 66609.

Prizes will be awarded at the centennial convention Oct. 22 to 24 in Topeka.

Membership in the Kansas Authors Club is not required to enter the contest.
