Benefit Concert

On April 29, 2001, one of the finest bluegrass bands in the world will be coming to Great Bend to benefit the Barton County Arts Council. Based in Chicago, The Special Consensus will be performing here shortly after their most recent European tour including 28 performances in Scotland, England, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands.

You may have seen this group on the Old Time Country Music show broadcast on KOOD (channel 9) or on the Fire on the Mountain show on TNN. If you're not familiar with them, you can check out their web site at http://specialc.com. The web site includes some sound samples.

The band has generously donated their services for the evening and CPI Qualified Plan Consultants has generously offered to underwrite the other concert expenses, so all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to aid the work of the Barton County Arts Council.

The show will be held at the Crest Theatre in downtown Great Bend and will start at 7:00 p.m.
