Photo by Don Shorock taken at 7:27 PM, March 11th, 2006 Staff Sergeant Crystal L Proper, a native of West Seneca, New York enlisted in the United States Air Force in May 2000 and was assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with The USAF Band of Flight. Before enlisting she received her Bachelor of Music degree in clarinet performance from Houghton College in 2000. In September 2002 she accepted a clarinet position with The United States Air Force Academy Band in Colorado Springs, arriving on station in January 2003. Sergeant Proper arrived at Offutt AFB in October 2005. Her principal teachers include Dan Johnston and Tony Franco.
