Denise Low, PhD, chairs the English department at Haskell Indian Nations University. She was visiting professor at the University of Richmond, spring 2005. She and her husband Thomas Pecore Weso wrote Langston Hughes: Photographs and Biographical Resources (available from www.mammothpublicatons.com). She co-edited a special issue of American Indian Culture and Research Journal on Leslie Silko’s novel Ceremony (summer 2004). She has published books of poetry and personal essays.
Thomas Pecore Weso, an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation of Wisconsin, teaches anthropology and sociology at Longview Community College in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He has published articles on American Indian shamanism, origins of powwows, and the Menominee Indian Nation. With Denise Low he is the co-author of Langston Hughes: Photographs and Biographical Resources (available from www.mammothpublicatons.com). He received his MA from the University of Kansas.
